Biography

Pat Boozer is a composer, teacher, and church musician, residing in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor's degree in piano from Samford University in Alabama, a Master's degree in piano, theory, and composition from Southern Seminary in Kentucky, and Master level Orff certification from the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. She composes piano and choral works and is published through several major publishing companies. She has had post- graduate courses in computers and music at Eastman School of Music in New York and for two consecutive years she won the Bay MIDI Users Composition Contest in Panama City, Florida, while living there.

She has served numerous times as commissioned composer, Orff workshop clinician, adjudicator for choral and piano festivals, children's choir leadership clinician in Alabama, Florida, and Oklahoma, and as professional accompanist. Her teaching experience includes public and private school music, private piano, collegiate, and seminary teaching, previously as an instructor at Southern Seminary in Louisville and currently on the adjunctive staff at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest. She is available on a limited schedule as a clinician or adjudicator.

Mrs. Boozer is also the creative designer of Staff Writer, a unique font designed for word-processing applications, for use as a tool for music educators to create music tests and worksheets.

Pat is married to Dr. John E. Boozer, professor of church music at Southeastern Seminary. They have a son and daughter, Britt and JoBeth, and two "by marriage" children, Natasha and Jason. God is so good!
