Magnificat
Andrew Carter
Magnificat by Andrew Carter is a lyrical and sensitive treatment of the traditional Magnificat texts. The piece is unique in that it sets the Magnificat texts in Latin and intersperses three delightful settings of the Beatitudes for treble voices within the body of the work. The purpose of the addition of the Beatitude settings is to amplify Mary’s own words with the words of her son.
Thirteen short movements. Delightful orchestrations. For SATB Choir, Children’s Choir, Organ, Chamber Orchestra, and Handbells
