A setting of Psalm 130. The work is particularly appropriate for the Lenten season. The text is sung over an ostinato figure taken from the motet "De Profundis" by the French Baroque composer Michel-Tichard de La Lande, 1657-1726. A moving and deeply meaningful setting.
