Linda
Cable Shute serves as Associate Minister of Music at Catholic
Church of St. Ann, a 15,000-member parish in suburban Atlanta. She
has previously been organist/choirmaster in varied denominations
throughout the southeast. Her postgraduate studies include composition
with Alice Parker [Westminster Choir College] and Richard Proulx
[St. John's University, MN], conducting with Melanie Jacobson
[Westminster Choir College], and private conducting study with
Eric Nelson [Emory University]. She earned an undergraduate degree
in piano performance and an applied art minor at Queens University
of Charlotte.
Her works have been performed and recorded in Europe as well as
in the United States.
She has approximately seventy octavos, hymn tunes, psalter and
hymn accompaniments published.
She is a member of American Composers Forum and
ASCAP.
