Timothy
Shaw (b. 1976) was born and raised in idyllic Keene, New Hampshire. He began piano lessons at the age of eight and has been studying and writing music ever since. He has taught composition and music theory both privately and at the university level, and he has served as Organist/Choir Director in several churches throughout the Northeast. He has composed extensively for the church, and his music now appears in the catalogs of Augsburg Fortress, Choristers Guild, Concordia, Fred Bock, Hope, MorningStar Music, and Neil A. Kjos music companies. He regularly fulfills commissions, including those for David Kim (Philadelphia Orchestra concertmaster) and Anne Martindale-Williams (Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra principal cellist), among others. Additionally, he volunteers as an ESL instructor at a multiethnic church in Philadelphia. Timothy and his wife, Lauren, are the proud parents of two boys.
