Hart Morris Mr. Hart Morris was born on November 5, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK. He presently works as the music minister for Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Previous positions include serving as music minister for First Baptist Church in Deerfield Beach, FL; Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, TX; Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX; and Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelors of Music in Church Music and Voice from Oklahoma Baptist University, and a Masters in Choral Conducting from the University of Houston. Various accomplishments include being the U.S. conductor at the 2002 AGEHR International Symposium in Pusan, Korea; serving as Chair of the AGEHR Area IX; and working as composer, arranger, and publisher of handbell and choral music. Awards include the ASCAP Standard Award, the Oklahoma Baptist University Profile in Excellence Award in 2004, and the Oklahoma Baptist University Distinguished Music Alumni Award in 2005. |
