C. Jeffrey
Richard
C. Jeffrey has composed church music for the past
25 years. In addition, he is a music director for a suburban
Chicago
parish, with four choirs under his directorship. During the
weekdays he teaches music in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Richard
has degrees in music form Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois.
He often uses his own texts for his compositions as well as
those written by Jaroslav Vajda, Timothy Dudley-Smith, and
Thomas Troeger. Richard's music has recently been added to
the WELS hymnal supplement and has been recorded on a WELS
hymn sampler CD by Susan Ann Luenenberg, a Christian recording
artist from New Ulm, Minnesota.
Richard
lives in Lemont, Illinois with his wife, Susan and their two
daughters. The Jeffrey women all play the
flute; because
of this fact, Richard often incorporates flute parts into his
compositions. Richard's music has been published by five major
publishing companies. His motto is "Soli Deo Gloria".
